A distinguished new milestone marks the continuing legacy of Estelita Caleon-Aguirre, CPA, as she is honored by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) as the 2026 Outstanding Certified Public Accountant of the Year, in September 4, 2026 at the Manila Hotel, City of Manila.
Presented through the PRC’s annual Outstanding Professionals of the Year recognition, the award celebrates her distinguished contributions to the field of Accountancy, exemplary professional service, and decades of leadership in taxation, education, government, and the accountancy profession. The PRC specifically recognized her extensive service as a former Deputy Commissioner of the Bureau of Internal Revenue, former Member of the Board of Accountancy, educator at the University of the Philippines, former Dean of the Institute of Accounts, Business and Finance of Far Eastern University, tax consultant, and the only female President of the ASEAN Federation of Accountants to date.
The Certificate of Recognition and the PRC Outstanding Professional of the Year trophy stand as tangible symbols of a career defined not only by professional excellence, but also by service, leadership, mentorship, and commitment to advancing the accountancy profession. This latest recognition adds another distinguished chapter to Aguirre’s long list of achievements, which includes the Dangal ng Bayan Award, PICPA recognitions, the UP Teaching Excellence Award, and the Accountancy Centenary Award of Excellence.
